The east coast of Yorkshire is unsurpassed for the combination of moorland and beaches that are on the doorstep, and Cloggers Cottage is set in the heart of these wonderful natural attractions.

Whether you are returning to Scarborough or visiting the area for the first time we are confident that you will find a wonderful variety of activities to do and places to visit. This page cannot possibly mention all of them, we hope it whets your appetite and helps you to discover or re-acquaint with some of the treats in store in North Yorkshire.

Cloggers Cottage is within easy reach of several golf courses, including the world famous Ganton course, as well as quad biking, pony trekking and shooting facilities. Fishermen can enjoy the World Championship lakes close by with day tickets available and cricket enthusiasts can visit the Scarborough Cricket Festival to see some of the world greats play each year. East Ayton is a day-trip away from the historic city of York, Eden Camp and Goathland, location for the ITV’s ‘Heartbeat’.
